In July 2021 RGB(skin), Sara Enrico’s new work, arrived in Termoli and entered MACTE’s collection. The two elements are made of foam covered with Polyester Printed Fabric and will be unveiled to the public for the first time on Friday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m., with the artist and researcher Giovanna Manzotti present.

During the evening, the dialogue between the two guests will be accompanied by images and videos that will take us into the artist's studio, and in the world of objects, ideas and inspirations that sustain Sara Enrico’s research. There will also be the opportunity to retrace the development of her work and analyse her technique, from painting to digital manipulation, and how the artist followed step by step the production with industrial interlocutors.

The realization of RGB (skin) and its entry in our museum were made possible thanks to Cantica21. Italian Contemporary Art Everywhere, a joint initiative of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI-DGSP/MiC-DGCC, 2020).

Sara Enrico is an artist who lives in Turin and is professor of Painting/Visual Arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bergamo. Her work, starting with a deconstruction of the codes of painting and tailoring, investigates the potentialities of a surface and the relationship between the body, clothing and space, using materials such as canvas, cement, pigments, technical textiles and industrial and digital processes. Recent exhibitions include: Akademie der bildenden Künste, Vienna; Archivio Atelier Pharaildis Van den Broeck, Milan; Národní galerie Praha, Prague; Mart, Rovereto. She was Italian Fellow in Visual Arts at the American Academy in Rome, thanks to the Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT, and she was among the winners of the Premio New York.

Giovanna Manzotti lives in Milan and works in the field of contemporary art. In the past, she collaborated with private foundations and worked as independent curator and project manager. She is currently a freelance researcher and editor for Mousse Magazine. Manzotti has recently contributed as writer to Sara Enrico’s catalogue The Jumpsuit Theme (Roma: NERO, 2021).
